Hooking up a Hensley Arrow

How hard is it to hook up a Hensley Arrow hitch on uneven ground?
Do allot of dry camping and have seen comments that hooking up in an unlevel situation can be a bear.

Re: Hooking up a Hensley Arrow

I don't think it is hard at all. You have to make sure that the stinger is going in straight, both side to side and up and down.

I think the up and down is where many make their mistake. Loosen or tighten the struts to get the hitch aligned with the stinger and then it goes right in. If you don't have it aligned you can try to get it hitched for hours.

Re: Hooking up a Hensley Arrow

Believe it or not hooking up on unlevel ground is relatively easy. One thing I purchased that helps is the tongue twister. If I get close just crank it over and I am in. We are getting really good at lining up now but the tongue twister helps.

Re: Hooking up a Hensley Arrow

Is the Tounge Twister a Hensley product, or is it made by someone else?

Re: Hooking up a Hensley Arrow

Hooking up the Hensley at any angle is easier than internet rumors would have one believe.

1) The head pivots. You just need to release that flopping lock thing in the middle of the head.

2) Screwing either jack will tilt the head if the tow vehicle is unlevel.
