Hope I didn't shoot myself in the foot...
Well, I ended up getting the Fabtech springs I talked about in another thread....but now I'm second guessing my decision. In a move to eliminate my stacked block set-up,...which I just recently learned was a dumb mistake I am going to try these out when I tow my toybox next month. I know aftermarket springs are by design softer, but does the general consensus seem to think I'll be OK towing 9500# with airbags? Are the aftermarket springs designed to accomodate that load? The X springs are soft, but does anyone know the rate or if they are single or dual rate springs? I spoke with Marty and he informed me that the 6-leaf Fabtechs are a bit stiff compared to other brands.
I have a bad habit of second guessing my choices and I certainly don't want to be unsafe either. Anyone who is lifted w/ aftermarket springs and tows around 9K, please chime in. It's already a touchy job towing due to the X's geometry and standard equipment and I really hope I don't make it worse.
TIA
Alin
