There's four kinds of "tuning" for your truck. The tune is the computer program that's in your main computer (PCM).
1] Stock tune. The one Ford put in your truck.
2] Generic hot-rod tune. You can buy a chip or programmer with hot-rod tunes from several sources. SuperChips or Edge Proucts, for example.
3] Custom hot-rod tunes. Jody, the tuning genius at DP-Tuner.com, can build you a custom tune that will do exactly what you want it to do - given the limitations of your engine and tranny. Tell him what you want, and he'll mail you what you need to install it.
4] Live tuning by DP-Tuner. Similar to #3 above, but Jody plugs into your truck and tunes the PCM right there, customizing the tune to exactly match your exact truck, given all the other mods you have to your truck. You tell him what you want, then watch him do it. Even with identical options and mods, there are still slight differences in trucks. Live tuning matches your exact truck
But you have to go to wherever Jody is to do the live tuning. Normally that means a trip to his HQ in Hoschton, GA. But recently Jody and Diane attended a shindig in the Denver area, so folks in the Rocky Mountain west were able to take advantage of Jody's skills for a short time, without having to drive all the way to Georgia.
