the 28 jayco will weigh around 8000 loaded.

The Jayco Jay Flight 28 FKS and the Jayco Eagle 282 FKS both have a GVWR of 8,500.

So I'll bet you'll have a trailer GVW of closer to 8,500 if you're like most RVers.

i keeped my stock rims, mabye i should put some 265s on them when i tow?
[/ QUOTE ]
With a hitch weight of around 900 pounds, you should go with LT235/85R16E. They will probably cost less than comparable 265s, and they are a bit narrower but the same diameter as the 265s. And you'll get better fuel mileage with the 235s than with the 265s.

hoppfully the 315s will work.

Depends on your definition of "work". If almost all of your towing is on the plains, then you'll get there with the tall tires. But if you cross the Rockies very often, or travel in any sort of hill country, or in what they call mountains back East, then you'll wish you had the shorter tires for towing. The main difference is how often your automatic tranny will downshift. With the tall tires at less than about 70 MPH, it will downshift for every little bump in the road. With the stock-size tires you can cruise at about 60 MPH without constant downshifting.
