I'd say if nothing else, it's got to be hard on that thing. That boat has got to weight 8-10k. That looks like a Lightening in the pic and I was under the impression the towing capacity was derated quite a bit from the standard f150.

unless if the trailer is over 10000 lbs., then you need a non-commercial class A (15000 lbs for 5th wheel), or if the combined weight is over 26000 lbs., unless registered as a motorhome.
but the Lighting models had a reduced towing capacity compared to the regular F150's, I think it was only 5000lbs.
that combo probably weighs close to 10000 with the trailer, so I'm guessing that's probably not good from the trucks standpoint.
Maybe its from Hollywood and its made out of paper to look like a real boat. ya tell that to the DOT . lol

Can't read the license plate from this vantage point.
Most states, and I'm sure it varies from state to state, if the actual gross combined vehicle weight (of the truck, the trailer, the boat and everything stowed in them including beer & fuel) is less than the weight limit printed on the license plate you paid for, you're legal.
Yes, in many states you could buy an 80,000-pound license for a Yugo and be legal towing a 77,000-pound trailer. (161,000 pounds in Michigan)
The only American authority I'm aware of enforcing the maximum gross weight published by the vehicle manufacturer is the Federal Aviation Administration. Most terrestrial Departments of Motor Vehicles only care if you've paid to play.

Yeah, that was what I was focusing on, taking up that many parking spaces in the middle of the parking lot.
I don't think here in Texas that we can buy tags for the amount that we plan to tow, rather, the tags are based on the GVW rating of the vehicle. i.e., my F250 is rated as a 3/4 ton truck, so the tags only cost $77. (iirc).

I am 99% sure the towing capacity of a lightning is 5000 or 5500. That being said, I had a friend who towed his race car to the track with his lightning...I thought that was questionable but wow thats a different story.
