I'm a knucklehead!

Just to clear my conscience - I had posted a question regarding the fuse box and wiring diagrams for the factory wiring harness for the trailer brakes. Seems I had wired mine up correctly but it didn't work!

Well ... I figured it out! If you actually READ the instructions that come with the factory harness you will find that they include the diagram I was looking for. And - those little green thingy's with proings on 'em and with the '30' printed on the top. Those are fuses! If you put those fuses into the correct slots in the fuse box (This is where the instructions come in) the whole darn system actually works!

Geeeeeze ... I can be soooo slow sometimes!

The good news is that my suffering is over and the trailer brakes work!

Thanks for allowing me the therapy session.

Re: I'm a knucklehead!

I don't think that you are alone in this kind of problem. I use to throw the directions away or ignor them compleatly, try to get what ever I am working on to work and then as a last resort dig the directions out of the garbage can and read them.

Been there done that.

I'm not one to read directions either, usually they are translated from English to French to Russian to Korean to Chinese and then back to English...... at this point they no longer make sense and are useless. Or my favorite lately is just pictures that look nothing like the parts you have...... they do number the steps however.
