installing brake controller

I have a 2004 SD. I just bought a prodigy brake controller. I also opted for the plug-in wiring harness. Is there any links to show where the oem plug in may be? thanks

Re: installing brake controller

I just installed a Primus in my 2001 a few weeks ago. If you drop the panel under the steering wheel, the plug on mine was located just above the right knee area. It was tied up tight and took a few minutes to find it. Good luck.

Re: installing brake controller

On my 2001 it was behind the dash panel and to the right on the right side of a metal bracket. There was a hole in the bracket and you could see the harness plug through the hole.

Re: installing brake controller

I know this doesn't help since I have a 94 but I just installed a prodigy an hour ago. I was ready to go digging for the plug for an hour but I found it right at the bottom of the dash and click it was done. The harness makes it easy.

Re: installing brake controller

Here's my thread asking the same question -for a '99

Berol's picture, look through the hole in the dash support, to the right of the yellow wire wrap, it's the gray connector with a brown connector in it...brown is pigtail installed...
