I have been parking my trailers on 2x10 pine boards to keep the tires off the dirt when storing. I am about to put my fiver to bed for the winter and the boards I've been using have rotted to the point they need replacing. Is pressure treated wood suitable or will the corrosive nature of the chemical used for the treating damage the tires?

I don't know about pressure-treated wood. I use plain ole 2x8, 2x10 or 2x12 untreated pine planks if I have to store the 5er outside. And yeah, those pine planks last only a year or so before they are either rotten or the termites ruin them. But my 5er is usually stored in the barn with Masonite siding between the tires and the concrete floor.
And yeah, if stored where the sunshine can hit the tires, cover the tires with something to prevent the UV light from getting to the rubber.
But even with care, trailer tires should not be kept in service for more than about 5 years. Even if they still look brand new, after 5 years replace them with new tires. Then you'll have a lot less chance of "trailer tire problems" while on the road.

My Sierra Blanca in the sig pic was a great pickup for 11.5 years. I sold it last year. Replacement is a 2012 F-150 EcoBoost SuperCrew Lariat.
I have always stored my boat, travel trailer and truck on a bed of about 2 inches of rock with weed guard fabric underneath. Stones of about 1/4 to 1/2 inch in diameter. As long as the ground underneath drains fairly well it works great and never needs replacing. Been using this for about nine years now.

When I had a TT I went to Harbor Freight and bought 4 jack stands and just jacked the trailer up and put it on the stands. It might of been a little bit of over kill but it kept the wheels off the ground.
