LED Tail lights

I bought some LED lights today. A bit pricey, $60 for a kit w/ wire ect. I plan on changing out the really cheap tail lights on my Fleetwood Terry Toy hauler. Most all of these LED lights are made overseas, and at twice the price, hope they will last longer and be brighter. Any one have any comments with the Blazer brand (or other brands) LED lights? I have replaced the original lens and fixtures twice in 5 years due to sun cracking them.

Re: LED Tail lights

All of my trailers have been converted to LED lights, except the sailboat, can’t seem to find time to ever sail anymore or fish for that matter.

$30 apiece is about right. Sometimes you find ‘em for $27. Full sets are cheaper, I found a set for $200 with four oval 2-ways, six round amber and seven round red side markers. They threw in 2 amber side angle turns for another $35.

I highly recommend them. The trailer just glows at night. Your rig becomes a beacon in the fog that others follow, cuts right thru the worst of swamp fog, though driving at night when clear, no one wants to be behind you for long, too bright.

None of these have burned out, with the oldest being 3 years of use daily. Old incandescent side markers were the worst, I could not keep enough spares in the glove box, and many times the bulb had just worked itself loose in the fixture.

And for some reason, all of the mishaps that used to brake lenses never happen anymore.

Pricey, but well worth it in the long run for just removing the hassle factor of burnouts alone. They can be temperamental without a good ground, in that some of the diodes do not illuminate.

I bought my Pace car hauler in '05 and it came with the upgraded LED light package. I have had zero problems with the LED lights and I will always have them on my trailers in the future. The work great and look great.
