Lifting a Truck with Air Bags

I can't remember, what specifically needs done when you lift a truck that has airbags installed?

There's a warning sticker you put in the door jam, but what should I tell a mechanic to do, if they don't know?

Once the air helper springs are installed, it is recommended that the vehicle not be lifted by the frame, as overextension
may occur, resulting in damage to the air helper springs. However, should it become necessary to raise the
vehicle by the frame, deflate both air helper springs completely

You can get a taller bag if needed. The PO of my 97 had those evil Velvet ride shackles installed along with air bags. I put new springs under it with stock shackles so the bags wont work. To short. I did some quick research but I don't think I'll bother. I might be going with a different product that doesn't require air.

I used these. They come in different lengths as well depending on what your lift is.

Are you talking about lifting as in jacking up to work on or lifting as in installing a lift kit?
