I bought a 24' H+H with a V nose yesterday. If all goes well, I pick it up in Edmonton on Friday. Trailer weight is 4200lbs empty. I'll post pictures when I get it home.

So, it can carry 5790 lbs. That will fill up quick especially with the V nose. You can cheat a bit by loading the tongue heavy to put less weight on the trailer axles so you can carry more. But with your GVWR issue you should just tongue load it around 10-12% and see how it goes. good luck with the trailer. I've only heard and read good things about H&H trailers.

Must be the season for buying trailers, as I just put a deposit down on one myself.
I too, am like you,............ needing something to haul my race car in. Actually, it's a race truck.
I was considering a 24' w/ a V-nose, but the added expense of the V was about the same as a 28' box, so that's what I went with.
I bought mine through a distributor, but this United Trailers is the brand I went with.
I got a lot of options with it, including twin 6000lb axles, jump door on left side & small 30a Elec. Package.
The only thing it didn't have that I really wanted, but just couldn't afford was cabinets and some sort of floor covering. I figure that I can add that at a latter date.
All in all, It came in at just over $9000. For that price, I just have to pick it up at the factory, which saved a bundle over picking it up at the distributor.
Post some pictures when you pick it up! The V option with H+H was only 270 bux, so that was a no brainer. I didn't want to go any longer because it won't fit in my shop.
Ideally I would have got 6k axles but a de-rated GVW tag to avoid the yearly safety inspections and class 3 license, but I ended up with 5200lb axles. Should be plenty for what I'm doing anyways. The car is only 3k or so. I did opt for the Alcoa wheel package though. I got my trailer for 11,700 Canadian (9K US)
I plan on finishing the interior of mine myself over the next few weeks. I've already been planning it out and can't wait to get started. I saved ~500 by picking it up myself.
Here's the only shot I have of mine until tomorrow when I pick it up:

Congrats on your new purchase!
Good looking trailer you got.
They won't have mine built until the end of this month, so it'll be a little while before I can post any pics.
I just hope my truck (97 Crew-Cab short bed) can handle the load. The trailer weighs 4800 empty and my race truck weighs about 3350
What do you have for a truck and what does it run?
It's a 93 Ford Lightning. It consists of a 557cu in motor, C-6 tranny, Ladder Bars, fully tubed w/ 31x16.50's (stock frame rails), AJE front end and etc....
Best motor only pass it has went 10.09 @ 134 (1.40 60')
It also has N2O on it, but I've never sprayed this particular motor.
Motor dyno'd 840hp/775tq w/ only 11:1 comp, unported A-460 heads/intake and a relatively small cam.
I got the trailer home last night after a 15 hour drive. It towed alright, but Al Mighty was right. It was pretty squirrely with a cross wind or when being passed by a semi. I was bucking a brutal headwind the whole way, but the truck performed flawlessly. I used my weight distributing hitch and it really smoothed out the ride.
I just bought mine last year- 28' CargoPro tag (bumper pull) with a 48" V-nose. It has a well sloped V as well to help with the mileage.
I went with 5200lb axles and 10K GVW but it is all aluminum so I have decent carrying capacity (about 6200# I believe). I have a Class A CDL but did not want to deal with any hassles especially if a buddy was driving without one.
I also want to add some amenities like sleeping berths. I would love to see how you have or will fit yours out.

Nice rig. I noticed you miss labeled the front left as front right. The front of the trailer can go up a little but it looks like there is a dip in the pavement where it is parked.

Thanks!
You are right in all cases. The WD bars were not set yet as we were just loading up

There are lots of race trailers and horse trailers available with LQ (living quarters) up front. Anywhere from the plain and simple to the decked-out luxurous. Maybe study the options available from the various LQ trailer manufacturers before you tackle the conversion job on yours. Visit trailer dealers that sell LQ trailers and note how they are designed and put together.
Most of the LQ trailers are gooseneck/fifth wheel, with the "bedroom" over the hitch. But with your tag trailer, you'll have to "make do" without the automatic spot for the bed.
If your main concern is a good bed, then I'd go to Sam's Club and buy the best queen-size mattress they have. Mattress only. You'll pay about half as much as the same mattress at a furniture store, plus the furniture store probably won't sell you a new mattress without the overpriced foundation/box spring. Here's the one I sleep on at home: Sam's Club - Serta® Fairmont Firm Eurotop Mattress - Queen
Then go to a good lumber yard and order a piece of 3/4" plywood in size 5'x9' (ping pong table size). They probably won't have it in stock, but they can order it. You don't need the 9' long, but you do need the 5' wide, and nobody that I know of makes a 5'x8'. Cut the plywood to be just a hair longer than the mattress (5' is already the right queen-size width). For traveling, stand the mattress up against the front wall, stand the plywood up behind the mattress, and secure the bed tightly to the wall with motorcycle tie-down straps. That means you'll probably have to add at least 4 tie-down gromets in the wall.
For sleeping, get the race car out of the trailer and fold down the mattress.
Keep the mattress in a heavy-duty waterproof mattress cover, and keep the bed linens and covers in a watertight plastic storage box when not used to make the bed. Be sure the floor is clean under and near the bed when it's folded down.
And of course if it's my race trailer, it's going to have air conditioning, and maybe even a 5,000 watt generator to power the AC in case I have to park where's there's no juice.

Reason: fixit
One piece of advise on the generator. Get one thats quiet Onan makes a couple that are nice. A noisey generator can drive you and the people pitted around you insane.
I just got back from a race where the guy next to me had a home depot special everytime they started it we had to close the door and put the air on. To compensate for the roar.
