I just bought an old travel trailer with some odd ball tires on it. The only markings I can find are "Mobiliner 15" HTS 6 ply rating."
I think the 6 ply rating is the equivalent to an Load Range C tire. As far as the size goes, I stood it next to the 205/75/15 STs that are on my cargo trailer and they are substantially taller, but no wider.
Anybody know what these things are and what I should replace them with? The travel trailer is titled at 4k but I have yet to drag it over a scale to see for sure.
I believe it is a bias tire that is likey a 7 or 7.50 x 15, which would be a taller tire.
You can go with a 225x75r15 radial - which would still be shorter or a newer 7.00x15 (that is what I have on my 16' utility at 6K.
These tires are a little more robust and can handle curbs, tight turns, and abrasions better than the radial - and they should be about $70 instead of $100.
In anycase - the Mobiliner is an old brand I believe out of Ohio. It is a retread or lined tire. Definately junk them...

I'd get them off before I pulled anything heavy. The sidewall on Mobileliners used to say "for mobile home use only". They were made very light weight and will blow or separate in a heart beat. Yea, been there, done that. I quit running them and I was getting them free.

There is no danger of me not replacing them as they are probably in the neighborhood of 20 years old or more. I drug the thing home with them on there strictly because I had no other choice and it wasn't very far. This thing sat up in a campground resort type area since sometime in the mid 80's. I was surprised to find the bearings and brakes in pristine condition, although the grease was getting a little thin.........
My local dealer carries Loadstar STs. Any opinions pro or con?
Take a look at these. Deep tread, strong sidewalls that don't squat like other radials. $85-ST225/75R15D, free shipping and fast. Usually 2 days. ST225/75R15D
