Mounting weight distribution on channel frame trailer
I'm looking at mounting a weight distributing hitch on a equipment trailer. I believe the frame is 6" channel. Current w.d. setup I have on another trailer is the Reese Dual Cam setup. It uses U bolts to mount to the frame which happens to be tube. I've never mounted a setup on a channel frame before. I just read the directions for mounting the ubolt setup and the drill and bolt setup for the Dual cam hp setup. Is it possible to use the ubolt setup on a channel frame trailer, or should I step up to the dual cam hp setup and do some drilling? I'm running 1200 lbs trunnion bars. Thanks, Nick.
