My experience has been the load distribution setup does not offset enough bumper drop to mitigate the headlight-to-the-stars problem. I suppose it depends on the trailer but when you start talking about tag toyhaulers they are HELI tongue heavy.
I've been on over 40 trips with my current trailer, the first 38 or so without ride-rites, the last few with them. I absolutely kick myself in the ass for not spending the $250 for them years ago. The ride and handling is night-and-day better with them and of course the added benefit is you're truck gets leveled out.
Weight distribution hitches are essential with big tag trailers (especially toyboxes) however, the air bags are a tremendous improvement that folks should seriously look at. I know I'd never roll without them again.
