Now using Autoenginuity, if you are in the KC area and need to check out some codes on any Ford, shoot me a PM.
You can put it in , and it will work with a limited capactiy.
The '05 and up trucks ahve a different computer that interacts with the brake controller. It uses the ABS to modulate the trailer signal.
I think the controller will work, but not as well as it does in the right truck.
The controller also uses a switch in the master cylinder, your truck doesn't have this switch.
YES i have heard the same thing with the interaction of this brake controller. i have also heard that some people do not like it because it seems to be "weaker" than aftermarket ones. i have this same problem. I have had the same brake controller in an 02 ford f3550, 03 dodge, and the 05 ford (prodigy) and it worked fine. alsways had the gain about 6. now with this new 06 with the factory brake box, i have the gain at 9 and i still feel like i am pushing the brakes harder just to make it stop. and so far i have not noticed any of this wonder integration this 230 brake box does compared to 150 for the prodigy. this was just a little info for you to help in your decision. but to only answer your question, its is yes (as another has said already). and it plugs into the exact same spot as you plug an aftermarket one. i think you are going to waste money but good luck.

Not every simple question has a simple answer. Neither "Yes, it will work, or no, it won't work," would be complete and correct answers to his question.
Didn't mean simple in that since, simple in - can it be done and or yes, but this and this have to be done too and it won't work quite right etc., and getting remarks like...get a prodigy!!
