OE Tow Command Setting??

For those of you that have the OE Tow Command..have you found a "comfort" setting as to aggressivness..I'm pulling a 10# fifth-wheel (F250 Ext.Cab SRW)..seems a setting of 7.5 works pretty well..but I could not find anything in the Owner's manual as to a "Start out and see Setting"...

Thanks for the help

Re: OE Tow Command Setting??

Turn to page 172 of your basic manual. The suggested initial setting is 6.

Pulling a 32' gooseneck horse trailer, I am using 2.5 empty and 4-5 loaded. Anything over these numbers results in the trailer bucking. Must add that the factory system is awesome. Mike

Re: OE Tow Command Setting??

pulling a 33' 5th wheel RV,, have tired varous settings from 2 through the max,, ended up running in the 7 to 7.5 area and have found that to offer the smoothest stopping,, that is with a tad over 6,000 miles of tugging with the new 2005,,

even wife has commented on how smooth the new truck handles the fiver compared to the old set-up on the 2003 F250 7.3,,
