Oklahoma to Yellowstone - Moab, Utah - Silverton Colorado back to Oklahoma
Just over 4400 miles in all with absolutley no trouble. Truck and Fifth wheel were exellent. One thing to share though, I would never do any trip pulling a trailer without gauges. You could and would be running 1400+ degrees for extended times without even knowing it. I love this truck, just need to get the EGT down a couple of hundred degrees.

Glad to hear you had a good trip. I love moab myself, where did you stay and what did you see (arches, canyonlands)?
Unfortunately we only make it down there once or twice a year.
One thing I noticed in your sig. is that you have 3.53 rearend gear ratio. If you swap out to a 4.10, or at least 3.73 for the weight of trailer you are hauling, you will let the motor rpms get up into power range and help drop EGT quite a bit.

Question for you okie1. I didn't see it in your sig but do you run any kind of tuner, chip etc.? I don't on my 05 6.0 and I see temps in the 1300* range pulling my 13400# fiver. It makes one wonder what kind of temps these trucks will stand. If a guy doesn't have gauges on a stock truck and just drives it, he doesn't know how hot that truck is running. I sure haven't heard of many stock trucks burning themselves up.

Mine is stock with the exception of a downpipe. They must be able to take some pretty extreme temps. I sure do love this truck, I don't want to get rid of my 3:55 gears because I get over 22mpg empty and still have plenty of power.
