It's part of Southwest Wheel (site sponsor) and a great outfit anyway. $125 is the best price I've seen, although there are rumors of $99 plus shipping.

They are nice, the digital display is pretty sweet and all the other options, $125 sounds pretty good, I got mine used for like $90...

My husband and I have the Progidy in all our trucks and we love it. The digital display shows exactally how much power is being applied to the brakes, and all though its not directly connected to your brake pedel, you would think it was. It works so smoothly, you just put a little more pressure on the pedel, and I mean a little, and the controler instantly increases power. Same thing when you let up on the pedel too. Sure beats using the cheap controlers that are just set at a certain percentage of breaking power. With the prodigy's varying power you don't get that hard jerk at slow speeds, and it has plenty of power at higher speeds, all set on the same power level.
Definantly worth the extra dollars
The Prodigy is the best brake controller that I have ever used. It is easy to set up and once you set it, there is normally no need to further adjust it. I bought mine a year and a half ago on Ebay for 108.00 including shipping.
First of the year I purchased a Tekonsha Prodigy as backup for my Tekonsha Sentinel in case it failed. When I picked up my Super Duty last month, I decided to use the Prodigy. It worked perfectly right out of the box and no adjustments necessary during a 1300 mile haul in a snowstorm with a 7500# loaded trailer. One of those deals where I should have upgraded controllers a long time ago.
Got mine for $75 including shipping off an auction site. Only tip is make sure it's the current V2.4 model. Installation/operation CD comes with it and it's a no-brainer install in the 1995-up F-series trucks with factory tow package. Vehicle-specific plug-n-play harnesses are available for $10-$12 and my Super Duty came with the factory/Tekonsha pigtail in the glovebox.
I paid $98 from RV Wholesalers 3 years ago for mine. I love it. It is the smoothest controller outside the ones that are controlled by the brake hydraulic pressure you will find. It has a programmed pre boost that is adjustable. That way when I'm pulling my utility trailer, it is as smooth as when I'm pulling my fifth wheel.
You can't go wrong with the Prodigy.
Jim

I've got a question about the Prodigy. I am currently using a Voyager and it drives me insane having to constantly fiddle with it. Issue is this. I usually tow in the mountains and with the pendulum/inertia design every time the grade changes the amount of braking changes with it. Pulling out of a gas staion drive with a little incline can be quite emabarrasing when the trailer brakes lock and slide down the incline. The Prodigy still uses an enertia device, correct? Does it over react to grade changes?
I have got to get something better. Considering the Jordan.

Yes it does
and no, it doesn't react to grades. I believe the controler is smart enoufgh to know when your going up or down a hill and it calculates out the praking power accordingly.
The steepest hills I have been on with my truck while towing is about 10%, and even there the Prodigy worked flawlesly

man that 3 axle trailer that SRW Ford is pulling is HUGE.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hell yeah it is. And I like how in the last picture of the video when that truck is going by they say "never tow more than the gross combined weight rating"
....I think that trailer put them WAY above the limit
