Pull-Rite hitch question

From what I've been told, The Pull-Rite requires an indexing pin to activate the hitch (logical) and can't tow a trailer without said pin because the hitch would slide back and forth whenever you accelerate or stop. Consequently, a trailer equipped with the index pin can't be towed by a standard 5TH because the pin would (obviously) get bound up in the hitch and snap off. I'm asking because I'm interested in this hitch but occasionally tow trailers other than my own. Also, will the under bed mounting fixtures fit around a set of Ride- Rites ( mounted outside the frame)? Thanks, Perry.

Can't answer on an 06 but I installed a Pullrite on my 08 it lined up perfectly with the holes in frame. I also installed the Ride Rites using the new no drill model(2400). The mounting holes for the bags fit with the Pullrite hitch mount locations as well. The new no drill mount for the bags are advertised as 5th wheel hitch friendly.

The Pullrite hitch is a great hitch, I pull a 32' Colorado and so far have been happy with the hitch. Pullrite has a very friendly customer service you might want to call them direct.

If you are speaking about the pullrite superglide hitch, yes you are correct. You can not tow other trailers with it and other trucks can not tow you trailer unless they have the access plate on their truck. Pullrite sells the plate that will permit someone to haul your trailer. This hitch is for a short bed truck.

If you have a long bed truck and do not need a slider the pullrite super 5 hitch can pull any trailer and visa versa.

I have the 16k SuperGlide. I drilled & pinned it so I can tow a standard 5th wheel. My own 5th wheel has the indexed pin on it, so I use it that way. I have a sleeper on a 8' pickup bed, that's why I needed the SuperGlide. I have towed a couple others 5th wheels with it pinned. Just have to watch closely on turns. I have a pic I can send if you want to see what I did. Can't post it from my current location.
