I drove tractor trailer hauling expedited freight for two years and would like to get in the freight business again with a F-350 PSD. I'm not farmiliar with finding loads and work with a pickup truck and have no idea how to go about it. Do you have to own your own trailer or does your company furnish it? IS there special brokers for this type of thing? I have no desire to buy a class 8 rig because of the high fixed costs and DOT regs. Ive read alot of posts and assume alot of you are busy making money. Could anyone educate me?
Thanks, BRet

Take a look at Hotshot Hauling Forum for answers to your questions. You will have to comply with the same DOT regs as a class 8. However if you stay below 26,000# you may not need a CDL.
