Putnam Retractable Gooseneck Hitch ------ Poor Design???
I have the Putnam retractable gooseneck hitch installed (properly) on my 2000 2wd Ford F350. When towing my 53' gooseneck car trailer loaded, on occasion the "recess", or the bucket that the ball slides down into when being stowed, smacks the snout (top) of the rear end, well well before the truck would bottom out on OEM bump stops. Anyone else had this problem at all?
