rear tire air equalization

I was considering adding this http://www.stengelbros.com/LinkCatEyes.htm

to my truck to make it easier to air up the tires and also I like the idea of even pressure between the two tires. I am planning on using a pressure pro sytem also so I can monitor the trailer tire pressures also. Does anyone use something like this? What do you guys thinks of this. I was going to get a 75psi version. Do you think this is a good pressure for it or should I get the 80psi version

THanks
Landis

Re: rear tire air equalization

Do not put on any system that ties the two tires together because if one is damaged they both go flat.

Re: rear tire air equalization

According the the link in the first post, there is a checkvalve in the cat-eye equalizer to prevent that from happening.

Re: rear tire air equalization

I have the Pressure Pro and very happy with it, but so far only using it on my trailer tires as it is harder to detect pressure loss or even a flat while under tow. For the F450 dual rear wheels, I prefer to monitor/fill individually to assure each one has the correct air pressure.
