Ride-Rite Airbags Part #2330 - who's using them?

this is the airbag system for the newer superduties that have a fifth wheel hitch installed..... i'd like a little feedback on these bags from a couple of you that are using them. In my opinion the mounting brackets looked a little wimpy.

Re: Ride-Rite Airbags Part #2330 - who's using them?

I am using them . We made two errors on the install:
1. We missed a small carriage bolt that goes through the upper part of bag and upper bracket
2. We missed that collar on that bolt, which must be saved from the previous bump stops and used on this bolt!

My driver side upper bracket did twist while towing, and I believe this was do to the bolt and collar missing. Had to replace the upper bracket and put the bolts on and made a short to, and there has been no problems. Learn from my mistakes! This must be somehting that occurs often, because when i spoekt to the tech cat firestone they told me right away what the problem was!

Works great so far, but I have to admit it is a tight fit with 4" exhaust.

Other than the place I purchased from ordering wrong mounting hardware, ordered without 5th wheel set up it was not easy install espcially for someone who doesn't do it daily but not all that bad either, must agree really tight around 4 inch exhaust.

I have them on truck in signature. Used because of the B&W side plates on frame of truck. Working fine.
