Set-up questions for a hitch

Good day,
I have a 28' enclosed trailer that I tow. It maxes out to about 12K lbs now. I currently have an Equalizer Hitch that I used on my old trailer. The Equalizer is the 10K lb version so I'm working to upgrade it to a 12K lb unit. I'm also probably going to install some air bags for the rear springs to help the truck.
I want to upgrade the factory 12K lb hitch that came on the truck too. What are the best brands out there now?
I'm going to be moving my family from NC to AZ this summer so I want to make sure the truck and trailer is all ready to go. There is some strong cross winds going across NM and AZ that worry me.
Thanks,
Ed

Re: Set-up questions for a hitch

The best option, would be to step up to a hitch with a 2.5" receiver. A few brands make them, I just can't remember the model names right now.
