thanks very much...i order the straps, axle wraps, etrack
and clips from them, ordered on a wednesday had it friday,
UPS goofed and droped only ONE of the TWO boxes (bummer is
the box that missing had the etrack, but i suspect thats a local driver issue not M&R or UPS as a whole).
M&R comes highly recommeded by me...great service, quick shipping !
Re: SOURCES NEEDED: jordan controller & tie downs ?
Sam's Club has had 2"x27' 10,000 lb. (3300 WLL) rachet straps for about $13 for quite a while. A bunch of guys in my 4x4 club have bought them for hauling their trail rigs around.

thanks for the follow up, 27' is a bit long for hauling a 12ft
car...on a 18' trailer as it was 10' and 8' straps were
almost too long.
additionally most of those straps that you see at tractor supply,
sams/costco/walmart dont have snap lock hooks.
Re: SOURCES NEEDED: jordan controller & tie downs ?
You can cut off extra length and then seal it from unravelling by singing the ned with a lighter or propane torch.
Special purpose tie downs are a LOT more money and are no better unless you specifically need tire net type or plan to use factory provided tie down holes. Those Sam's/Costco/ etc etc 2700# rated ratcheting tie downs hold my tractor and implements just fine.
Re: SOURCES NEEDED: jordan controller & tie downs ?
All you have to do is start from the end of excess strap and mark off about two feet fold over and over and then slip the strap through the release handle and then over it. easy as 123. I'm a trucker and this is by far the easiest and fastest and will not come out for nothing.

Agree with all but the last question. This is my trail rig on a trailer borrowed from a friend being hauled by a 2001 PSD owned by another friend. I'm waiting to do any mods to my straps until I get my 18' trailer and then modify them for my length etc.
'Course, before I can get the trailer, I got's to get me a PSD, which, hopefully will come off the line next Monday....
A lot of 4x4er's use the 3300/10k rachet straps. Some use chains and binders, most don't. For this trip, we tied the excess in pretty good knots and then checked the rachet straps and excess on every stop. My friend with the PSD, thankfully, was as anal about this as I was, we kept checking each other the whole trip.
That specific trailer is 16' long, steel deck and is rated for 7000 lbs. We did NOT weigh this trailer combination on this trip, although we did weigh 2 other truck/trailer combi's (we had about 6 total on this trip) at the truck stop in GA on the way back.
That specific pic was taken in an Oak Ridge shopping mall about 10 miles from Oliver Springs, which is right outside Windrock 4x4 (and coal and oil and lumber and mining) area in TN.
