Man oh man, this post is the blind leading the blind...

If you want cheap, buy Timbrens. You get what you get period.

If you want an infinitely variable solution for loaded and unloaded buy the airbags.

Here is a hint. Look under a big truck, look under ANY big truck. You will never find a set of Timbrens. But, just about every big truck on planet earth has air bags. I wonder why????

In all seriousness there are a lot of variables. I will grant that the ride while loaded is probably better with air bags. I personally just don't want to mess with them. I installed the Timbrens and forgot about them. Price had nothing to do with my decision and I am very happy with the Timbrens.

These two points are pretty much all you need to know. The one and only concern about the airbags is the need for constant pressure, even unloaded. Spend the extra time and a few $$ on a pressure gauge installed in the cab.
