Do you mean Trojan or is there another company that I don't know of that is Torjan? Trojan batteries are quite good. We use them in our electric trucks and they have lasted really well through lots of abuse including being stored for extended periods not on a charger.
Unless your TT has a 24V electrical system which is rare, I don't see how you would use 8V batteries.

Two 8 volt batteries will put you at 16 volts, which wont be good for some of your 12 volt stuff in the trailer (refrigerator electronics comes to mind). Get two T-105 trojan 6 volt batteries. I have them in my fiver. Much better than the cruddy pair of 12 volt Interstate deep cycle ones that it came with. I found mine at a golf cart supply/repair facility. Call your local golf course and ask where they get their batteries.

I don't think so without alot of more work and cost than getting two T-105 6v batteries. However using a series connection with one 6v and one 8v would produce 14v. Do both batteries have the same amp/hr rating?
The biggest item would be your RV 115v convertor charger that would not recharge the 8v batteries when plugged into a shore power source. Can the convertor be internally adjusted to accomadate the 14v? I dunno.
The next items would be the electronic circuit boards in the refrigerator and DSI water heater. I never looked but I don't think the boards would have there own regulated power supply and the higher voltage may very well blow the boards.
The furnace will probably be ok on 14v but on 16v you will have problems.
The water pump and lights would have the least amount of problem with the higher voltage.
