Not sure if you have picked out and bought your 5th wheel yet. But I favor the Heartland campers. All 0* tested!!!! When we upgrade our little 31' bumper Pioneer bunkhouse to a 5er, We are wanting a Sundance by Heartland. Check them out, I mean Heartlands, You would most likely be liking the BigHorn or Landmark, maybe a SUndance

Check out a montana. Very popular with full timers and snow birds. Better built than a Cardinal

Have a neighbor with a new Montana and just last week met a fellow RVer in a campground that had replaced his Montana with another brand. Both guys purchased Montanas due to their highly regarded reputation and both ended up very disappointed. Seems the new Montanas suffer in poor quality, poor reliability and difficult warranty service. It appears Montana may not be the good company they once were.

Smokey,
I have been weighing my rig on CAT scales very easily, and come up with the trailer weights--don't consider it a PITA. Talk to scale person, tell them you want 2 weight slips--drive on scales with truck front axle on one pad, rear axle on second pad and the trailer where the front jacks are just onto the 3rd pad (all of trailer will be on 3rd pad). Call desk to get first weight, then lower the jacks to where the hitch just comes off the truck without raising the truck (easy to see) call for 2nd weight, retract jacks, drive off and get the weight slips. All info needed for all axles for truck and trailer with pin weight the difference in the trailer weights. Only PITA is finding a scale that doesn't have a lot of truck traffic to get in the way of.
