Re: Trailer axles

Southwest Wheel is a sponsor of TheDieselStop, and their eTrailerPart.com has what you need. Here's the link to the 7k straight axle. If you need the drop axle, then back up one notch in the URL.

http://www.etrailerpart.com/7ktrailerAxle.htm

To order, you'll need the exact length of the old axle. Measure from the face of the hub (base of the lugbolts) on one end of the axle to the face of the hub on the other end of the axle.

7,000 pound axles require 16" wheels. Specify bolt pattern to fit your 16" wheels, either 6 on 5.5" or 8 on 6.5".

Re: Trailer axles

Call Auto Safety House. By the time you add shipping ASH will be close if not cheaper. Tell them your with SRP, APS, etc and they will lower the price about 11%.

Axles are in huge PDF files (15mb or so), so you can download them but it takes "forever" if you are stuck with a dial-up internet access. Or if you are near Phoenix, Tucson, Holbrook, or Las Vegas, then drive over to the ASH store near you. Otherwise you may have a long drive to get to an ASH store.
