I have a problem with my trailer brakes. When I turn on my emergancy flasher lights my trailer brakes pulsate with the flasher. They work fine with the turn signals. I thought the problem was on the trailer side, but I pulled a different trailer same problem. Where would you look first the fix the problem?
Make sure you are getting a good grounding bond between the truck and the trailer. Check the truck trailer connector for a good ground. I believe this is absolutely your problem.

It has to do with how the controller is wired into the trucks electrical system. You have to get the brake light wire coming off the brake pedal. If you pick it up too far down the line (beyond the emerg. flasher switch) you will get just what you describe. The flashers activate the same element as the brake light switch.
