My 07 F-350 dually didn't come with a trailer hitch, but I managed to locate a new take off from a member here. I put it on today to find out the trailer plug bracket that mounts beneath the bumper no longer fits in this location due to the installation of the hitch. There are two holes on the bottom of the hitch, leading me to believe a different type of bracket is used when you have a hitch.
Can somebody please help me out by giving me the part number stamped on their bracket that is mounted to their hitch. I called a local stealership this evening and all they could give me is the part # for the entire bracket and wiring harness (I only need the bracket). A photo would also be nice if you have one handy.
Thanks in advance!
The number on my '06 is 5C3T-14A-206-FA. I tried that # on a couple of the ford genuine parts places but it wouldn't come up as a valid # . Hope this helps you.
Thanks for that! I finally found a photo of the bracket and it was hard to tell for sure, but it appears to mount upside down on the bottom of the hitch. Does that describe it?
