What would be involved .I live in NJ.A "friend" needs his vehicle delivered from Yorkton SK to NJ to be repaired(don't ask)Money is no object but I am concerned about boarder crossings. What would I need for myself and the vehicle being returned.
Any help would be appreciated.
I would be using my pickup and a 26' enclosed trailer.
other than standard fees i dont think anything
i knew a guy who used to take his show car to cananda and they didnt bug him over it just like a load of hay or gravel or whatever
long as trailer is good and truck is good (registered all that ) i dont see a problem but again that was a few years ago

Appreciate the reply. It is just a Lightning pickup that he was going to have work done on but the engine let go so he needs it trailered.I guess I would have to make sure the oil is drained and no leaks also.
I have heard of Americans buying trucks up here in Canada specifically with a "1" for the first VIN digit because that means its built in the US and that means there's no import duties.

Good day folks, You do realize there are some very able people here in Saskatchewan that can do the work required. And besides it keeps the money local. Just my 2 cents, Rick

you may want to call US customs and ask them what is needed. You might want to leave out the repair part of the deal. Also if it has to go back to Canada, cal canadian customs. Call the office of where you are going to cross into the US at. I know commercial you have to have lots of paperwork.
