Truck Rental

Had to rent a truck today to haul a couple loads of horses over the next couple of days. Didn't know you could rent a 1 ton dually set up to tow. I just thought I would pass the info along if anyone ever needed it. The rental cost about $100 per day.

Rented it from Interstate Truck Rentals 800-900-0532.

Only bad thing thing is I am getting so much grief from my significant other because my 04 PSD is broke. I have had enough of "The Ford's broke, but the Chevy is running" comments.... Also, I have also heard a few times, "Hey, why don't you rent a Ford?" He thinks it's real funny that I had to rent a Duramax, and throws comments about they can't rent Ford's because they would be broke all the time. Ha Ha Ha.... I don't care, I still like my Ford

I am glad I get to drive an 07' Duramax, it has a lot of power, but I just can't seem to make myself like it The darn thing is so quiet I feel like I am in a gasser

Re: Truck Rental

Back when I was a kid in the early 1950s, Dad had a 1950 Dodge pickup. The Dodge cost a few bucks less than a comparable Ford pickup. So during the bull sessions at the gin, he would comment, "If you can't aFORD'em, Dodge'em." And he also said Ford is short for "Found On Road Dead". But he was just jealous because he couldn't afford a Ford.

Chevy? Nah. Their only engine was a hot-water six, whereas the Ford had a V-8.

My '99.5 PSD has been more reliable than anybody's Chevy or Dodge during the same 8 years. I'm glad I can aFORD it so I don't have to Dodge it.

Re: Truck Rental

Smokey-

You're wrong about FORD meaning "found on the road dead", it really means "First on Race Day!!"

You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Re: Truck Rental

I have an 06, and can't stand the interior of the 07.

You know you don't have a gas engine because you're pulling a hill at 1600 RPM's. I really like the duramax. The only reason Ford lost my sale is because of warranty problems with the 6.0 liter. My information came straight from this site. My only complaint about the duramax is the fuel mileage.

Interstate runs a good renatl service. To the best of my knowledge, it's the only place that does that.
