Weight Distribution on F-150s

Not sure, but sounds reasonable. When did you get a F150? I must have missed something. I see that you sold your 2006.

Like most things it depends. Is it single axle? tandem? How tall/long/etc?
Generally a WD is good idea. I tend to go with heavy hitches.

Correct. The hitch is only rated for 5,000 pounds without weight distribution.

I pulled a 27 foot camper with a weight ditribution hitch with one friction sway bar with an F150 4x4. That combo "really" made things smoother on windy days and on quick dips in the road.

The hitch won't allow you to tow more, but it does stabilize and controls sway.
