Weighted the F-350 today...Wow

Well I finally got around to weighing the new ride. I was quite surprised, with full fuel and me in the seat (178) scale says 8000#. Does this seem about average? By the time I add the family I'll be at 8600# without hitch weight. We just ordered a WW LE 3705 and factory says build weight is 10,100# with a gross of 15k. I have approx. 3600# of toys and stuff and I haven't even figured in pin weight, fuel and water. Seems like I am running out of truck very quickly. I will have to travel to the dunes without water and fuel, have to fill up in Yuma. I think I will be over the 23K gross and probably over on the rear gawr of 7000#. I am going to have to get creative with the load. Cliff

Re: Weighted the F-350 today...Wow

I have a F-350 4X4 SuperCrew LB full tank and it weighted in @ 8100.

Front axle was 4740 lb and the rear was 3360 lb. I was outside when I hit the 8 foot semi-truck call button. Oh yeah, my dog (100 lb) was in the truck. Also, had my weight distribtuion hitch on.

8100 minus 100 minus the hitch 50? for an estimate of 7950 lbs.

You just gotta love this website. My wife does. Yeah, right!

the 10,100lb. figure you posted is VERY optimistic for the 37' LE. i would suspect that once you have all the options in the coach (that is where the "dry" weight is misleading, as it is weight of the unit withOUT any options -- ie. AC, genny, etc.), that you will be closer to 12k. put in a few toys, water, fuel, food, clothes, etc. and i think you will be pushing 15k easy.

i have the LE3505, and i know that i am very, very, very close to maximum weight without adding much stuff...

ps. i would suggest that since you are running heavy, that you ditch the 15" wheels that come with the trailer, and move up to 16" rims so that you can get some E rated tires...

Not much difference for a F250. Front 4240 rear 3200 total 7460 with me onboard.

Mine tipped the scales at #8,200 and me OUT of the cab.. You are looking at quite a load there. IMHO, I think it would be a lot better if your truck was a DRW..

Best to you.

8400# for my truck with full tank, running boards, fiver hitch, no people, etc. I also have the Inyati. Very happy so far and the install was very well done. I believe all the Inyati shops in Phoenix are owned by the same guy. I had mine done up at the Deer Valley location as it was the closest.

The dealer installed my Inyati liner, part of the deal. However, Custom Bumper in downtown Mesa on Main St. is a Inyati dealer. Cliff

Re: Weighted the F-350 today...Wow

I had my Inyati sprayed by a place on Country Club and Elliot. They are who Earnhardts in the East Valley uses.

Seems the 05's are quite a bit heavier. Anyone know why?

I think they're using a stronger/thicker frame.

My scale slip says my 00 is 140# heavier than my 05, but the 00 is a
6 spd handshaker. Not sure what it all means but i think thier both close to the same weight

Tacobuilder, add firestone air bags. They make a huge difference with that pin weight you're gonna have. Will ride like a dream!
