I'm the proud owner of a 1995 F-350 Diesel 4X4 Crewcab Longbox that need's work & It's about 100miles from home! Would the truck fit on a 16' deck car trailer? or do I need something a little longer?
thanks
Doug
I've towed those on a 21 ft flatbed tow truck a few times. They fit but not as nice as I wanted. A 16 ft would be too short. A 20 ft might work, but it would be stuffed in there and tongue weight might still be a little high.

A crewcab longbed will fit on a 18' trailer. I've hauled a few on my 18' without a problem. If you loaded it all the way forward it will fit on a 16' but you might not like how it tows.

Remember the truck will weigh about 7000 pounds. Make sure your trailer can handle it. I can get my '94 on my 18' flatbed but I wouldn't want to do it again. Have to go almost all the way forward which makes for too much tongue weight. Back it on and you have a very unstable trailer.
If you end up going with a short trailer and don't have enough adjustment for tongue weight, you could always put weight in the bed of the truck to help on tongue weight. Just make sure the trailer can handle the weight, and that the ballast in the bed is secured well.
