All in all the Prodigy has been better than the Voyager, but even the solid state sensor is bothered by the pulsing that the front rotors impart during moderate braking. Hard braking and minimal braking does not impart the pulsing, but with a trailer and tractor combo weighing in at 10K-11K I do not want to be running up and always making hard stops in order to not got through the bouncing. Usually, I go the other way and spend half my time slowing down. What really gets me is that it seems there are times the rotors are bad and other times you hardly notice it.

I had a Jordan in my '03 F150 7700, and as far as I'm concerned, it worked better than what's in the previous F250 and the new one. It was a great controller! I checked out an old link and the website is still there. Looks like they're building an updated model. Here's the link Best Brake Controller

i bought the max-brake controller after hearing that brake smart's tech. was older. the max brake installed easily and i like that it will let you know if you have trouble with trailer brakes. little spendy at $350 but no way would i go with the pendulum type with a hvy trlr now. max brake is very smooth. yeah, looks like made in someones garage but performance what i'm interested in. hands down, no ? on this one for me. go with max brake if towing hvy. imho, rich

I still have a Jordan but I pulled it out for the Prodigy only because I couldn't get the cable to pull smoothly. When it was working it was great but it would hang up and no matter how I adjusted it, it was sticky. Maybe I should send it back and have them check it out.

Anyway for now the prodigy works fine for me.

I have used my Jordan for over 7 years and it has worked flawlessly. I love it.

Tekonsha P-3

I have a P-3, upgraded from the Prodigy.

The P-3 works better with my trailer setup, which has electric over hydraulic disk brakes. Smooth as silk, even in emergency braking.
