Wheels weight rating and 5ver????

I am looking to change the wheels on my SRW F350 to better accomodate my new tires (load range E 3525lbs Pro Comp Xtreme A/T 325/60/18)

I have looked at alot of wheels but to get the right offset so that they are inside my wheel wells for the most part they are few and far between rated at the higher weight ratings.

My question would I be in a bad spot if I just used wheels rated at 3420 lbs each? The 5ver pin weight we are looking at is 2100 dry, 15,300 GVWR. I know the rear axle takes more than the front and the 2 front wheels would be over the axle rating but in the back I would be giving up 160lbs rating?

What do you think honestly?

Is that what is molded into the back of the wheel? Or is that just what they said? I cant find any actual specs on their wheels besides the sizes.

Every Army pilot knows all about having the right equipment to protect your own butt.

If you insist on screwing around with the specs on your truck, then do it right. Go to www.stocktonwheel.com and have them make you a set of wheels that will have the specs you need. Not cheap, but doing it right was never cheap.

Thanks Smokey, I pretty much knew the answer, just thinking out loud I guess. This has been my whole dilema, I want to do it right. I know a lot of people dont even think about the wheels.

Re: Wheels weight rating and 5ver????

This is what the manufacturer told me. Is every wheel supposed to be stamped on the backside? I could take a look and see.
