WHO MAKES THIS THING???

The wife and I were driving up I-95 Today. We saw a F-450 that looked like a winston cup hauler only way smaller. It looked like some kind of race team (something racing on the side). How cool would this be roll the car on have it lift roll it in strap her down and your off. Who makes these things? I was going to Hodges haulers but man this was way cool..... Anyone know who makes this??

Looks like add 1324. It had columns on each side of the box. It was not as long. Looked like it would fit one car and thats about it.

Help me find the maker of this rig!!!!! Please.

Re: WHO MAKES THIS THING???

Follow the link I put up. I have never seen one like this mounted on an F-450. The back had a fold down door and on the back were almost like column lifts? Post a link and I can tell you if thats the same. It reminded me of a small toater home. It was really nice with the Chrome/stainless door in the rear. Man I wish he had stopped at the rest area. Still thinking about this set up instead of the Hodges hauler bed.

Thanks......

Re: WHO MAKES THIS THING???

Based on the ad, there is a chance the one you saw is a DIY job. Call the above ad and find out how the guy did it and where he got the idea from.

Re: WHO MAKES THIS THING???

I was going to give him a shout on Monday. The picture does not show the rear of the truck. The one I saw was very close to this one and I was able to see the rear door. It was a lift gate for a car carrier. I would think some fab shop or trailer shop must make these custom. Perhaps Monday I will have an answer the question I have been looking for all weekend?

Thanks......

Re: WHO MAKES THIS THING???

Man, I have to believe that thing is a bear to turn. I would prefer some articulation somewhere... gooseneck or 5er ... and then you have a regular pickup truck when you disconnect.

On the other hand, if you can afford one of those custom haulers, then you probably can afford an extra pickup truck and a house driveway/parking lot big enough to park it all.
