Wind resistance/drag for travel trailer, should I get a shell?
Recently purchased a 21' dual axle with 13" tire size travel trailer weighing in about 3000# empty. Bumper pull with my short bed F350 srw and have a full size weatherguard truck box.
To help reduce wind resistance and drag, should I install a "chopped" tonneau cover or a shell -- and would it be a notable improvement?
Secondary question is would a anti-sway or weight distribution hitch be needed for this setup? Seems to pull fine and have had no problems (other than very noticeable wind resistance).

A shell might help but might not be noticeable. Most of the aerodynamic drag is created by turbulent air coming off the back of the trailer.

Wow, that does look like a good product. With 4-5% increase in fuel economy towing, should be worth the $200 or so. With fuel at $2.70/gal, should take about 1852 miles to save $200 at 4% increase in fuel economy. Hmmm...
