To get increased output you can wire two units together. Okay Honda sells a 'Y' type cable fairly cheap (yeah I can make one myself), but also sells a power module for a fairly high price that seems to do the same linkage. Local dealer does not have info on the module.
What do you get for your money that one should consider buying this module?
A guy on RV.net took one of those boxes apart and found no special voodoo, just the typical wiring needed to get the job done. Hence his writeup on the homemade version for $50 instead of the $150++ for the ready make version. I made my own after reading up on it.
Thanks. I currently have a "loud" generator, so need to get quiet unit(s) suitable for the campground. I'll build the harness. Loud larger unit will stay connected to the emergency transfer switch for the home.

I made mine for $40 with parts that I bought at a Lowes. Spent about the same amount to add a 6 gallon aux fuel tank, have never run out of gas.
Longest time on generator: 1 week, zero problems.
Definately the best things that I've purchased.

Your trying to get 240 volts instead of 120 only, right?

NO! The generators are wired in parallel. Still 120 volts at double the amps available.

That would be incorrect, these generators do not put out 240 volts and besides that would mean connecting them in series.
What we are talking about is connecting them in parallel which adds the current available at 120 volts.
The inverter circuitry in the generators can match the phases between the two generators and supply a single 30 amp rv receptacle.
By using inverter technology the dc generator section only has to supply the power required by the load applied and therefore the engine only run at an rpm to match the load. The invertor changes the DC to AC. There is also an econo switch that when turn off runs the generator at max power. Good for starting heavy loads but uses more fuel and with the higher rpm it's less quiet.
At 46# these suitcase units are perfect for us old guys that no longer can muscle a 100+ pound generator into the back of the truck. Be there, done that, got the bad back to prove it.
If you've never heard one of these Honda's run it's a real treat. You can actually stand over them runing in econo and have a normal conversation. At 30' the A/C unit on the roof is louder than the two generators running it. I have run them in areas where there was a ban on running generators and no one knew. In fact I plan to do just this again in April in LakeLand, FL as we did a couple of years ago. Even ran the washer/dryer for two loads on the generators.

I built my own parallel connector for under $40, used 12 gauge wire, and it looks and works great. The hard part was getting the shielded banana clips, then how to put them together. Pics of banana clips
I used This as a guide, but upgraded it to 12/3 wire. I will have to dig around for a parts list if you have trouble finding the banana clips.
