Has anybody noticed any Driveline vibration at 70 and over?
I have a high rpm vibration . I'm assuming it's the drive line at 70 and over it's not dramatic but it's there I'm thinking of having the driveshaft checked.
Didn't make a difference when I pulled my 40' fifth wheel to ohio from tx.
All my super duties did it to but just on take off and loaded. Not at highway speeds........hmmmmmm
When the weather is cold and the engine is under load I have a slight vibration that can be felt through the floorboards and pedals on mine. The moment the weather warms up it goes away, though. *shrug*
add me to the list. Just bought the truck Friday...200 miles. F350 Dually. It is almost harmonic and comes and goes, almost an oscillation. It starts around 50MPH, terrible around 80. OP: have you checked with the dealer yet? I sure hope this is not something we have to "live with".
well no luck (as expected). Dealer is clueless..waiting for Ford to tell them what to do. I am picking up my truck- don't want it to sit there any longer while they dick around.
Dealer balanced tires, checked balance on driveshaft, checked carrier bearing, and then used the remote mic system to listen for vibrations. The rear diff is the culprit. They want to tear into that now, replacing gears and bearings. My truck has been at the dealer more than in my driveway.
I'm watching. Please keep us posted. Mine is still doing it to over 70. Again its not massive.....but noticeable. I wonder about seals and bearings with that high frequency vibration. How bad is yours and at what speed does it come in. Mine comes in right past 70 and persist. It's really minor...... but its there.
Congrats on getting a dealer like that! Hang onto him, give him as much business as you can. Too many dealers dismiss stuff because they don't know what to do with it or think your just a "fussy" customer or they are too busy to dig a little deeper, they just want to keep the flat rate rolling......
You should tell who the dealer is for everyone's future reference.

I am irritated with this issue, but Al Packer Ford in White Marsh (northern Baltimore) MD has been very good to deal with. They are trying hard to remedy this issue for me.
I believe I have a similar issue, however it seems more like a vibration to me. Mine is similar speeds. 45-50 and 70-75. I do not notice anything at 80
update: dealer replaced ring and pinion set...no luck. Still have this weird harmonic vibration. I give up. Just going to have to live with it I guess.
OK, gonna chime in here. Mine had a pronounced vibration right out of the gate, wife noticed it coming home from the dealership. But, the more miles, the better it seems to be, but it still seems to be intermittently there. What I have noticed is it seems to be more apparent on different pavement. My ride home (20 miles, freeway) involves concrete, grooved concrete and asphalt, as well as some worn sections of asphalt. Strangely enough, the vibration seems to be most noticeable on the smooth asphalt.
I am not totally convinced it is a straight driveline / tire vibration issue, I am almost of the opinion this is more of a suspension- frame harmonic issue, as it seems to cross DRW /SRW different axle ratios.
Same thing here, getting better with every mile. Just hit the 1K mark. Very Strange, but it is what it is. I have never seen anything like this before.
All good points guys. Also remember this is a new mega stiff frame. I have to imagine this new frame transmits more harmonic frequencies throughout. Have you ever noticed the rubber isolated gizmos under each side of the cab towards the rear? They must be harmonic vibration isolators? Guess Ford knew there were some issues.
As frame rigidity has increased on all truck lines vibration complaints increased. Loaded trucks have suppression as more mass makes sympathetic motions less. If the shock absorbers are correct for a loaded truck then they can be too stiff for a truck without load. Shocks loosen up. Tire issues are root cause many times. Swapping tire/wheel sets with a truck with no issues fixes the truck with tire roundness caused issues. Road force balancer can sometimes find issues with tires that aren't out of round unladen. Tires these days cold flat spot and that can take miles to sort itself out. Intermittent vibrations can be flat spotting.
Tire issues can make for vibrations that are different with every drive. Having two or more tires with issues can result in different vibrations as the tires are synchronized, off sync, or half-phased out of sync which can cancel vibrations. Tires with issues may be slightly different circumference than ones without and the tires will move relative to each other and make vibes worse and better continuously.
There is some Merit in what you say. But in my case specifically I don't think it's a tire issue at all. My issue is a high-speed high RPM slight vibration like a Driveline exhibits when it's out of balance. In my four wheel drive days I experienced this very thing many times and this feels exactly like that but I don't have any proof of that at this point. It is getting much better almost not even noticeable at this point I'm holding out hope.
I have a noise happening at 68-69 mph on my 2017 F350 DRW. It is a hum that happens only at this speed and I cannot seem to pinpoint where it is coming from. I am thinking that the front passenger wheel hub/bearing is faulty. With 2500 miles on the truck it seems sort of strange that would happen so soon. I am going to try to shift into neutral today to investigate further at this speed. The driveshaft may be not balanced perfectly but the extremely small window of speed/noise has me questioning whether or not the driveshaft really would cause this. My last resort before bringing it in to have it looked at will be to rotate the tires and see if that changes the noise.
Update. Vibration still active at 70 on past. dealer installed new driveshaft. No fix. They did discover vibration on the rack but the new shaft didn't fix it. I don't know why Ford can't engineer a vibration free driveline. 15k miles
