I have an '04 Dodge Cummins 555 that dies during cool-down after towing. I recently had a BD booster lift pump installed, and the problem began immediately afterwards. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, what's the fix?
I would look at the BD lift pump first, especially if that's when the problems began. I'm curious, why did you go with the BD set-up versus the in-tank retrofit that Dodge now has for your truck?
I'm sure it's the BD pump, I just want to know if there's a simple cure. I didn't know about the retrofit, but I'm sure it costs more than the $300 the BD cost, plus I'm sure it's easier to install
Put a FASS on it. They are talked about all over the DODGE forums as being the way to go.
