2004 duramax keeps stalling, service engine light

I have a 2004 topkick duramax. The rig just shuts off going down the road, and the service engine light come on. I changed the oil, fuel filter, and air filter. It still stalls out (only in the after noon??). It starts right back up, and is fine. I dropped the fuel tank and blew the fuel lines out and that didn't work. I had someone plug there system into it and they didnt get any codes back. I drive it home about 15 miles and it almost happens around the same spot?? I jiggled every wire harness while it was running in hopes it would die but it kept running. I cant figure it out. It has the egde system added to it. The only thing else is wrong is the brake light is on and i unpluged the annoying buzzer that kept going off. The brake light is another thing I need help with but one thing at a time. Anyone with any ideas are greatly appreaciated. thanks.

Have you been able to retrieve any codes? Some (mine) code readers will alow you to see "live" data and I can set mine to record on a "trigger" then I can input into my computer and look at all the values of the monited P.I.D.'s and if you know the values then you'll know what made it do it's thing.

It didnt show any codes when we hooked up my brother's device. I will check if his works like yours. The engine light goes off after the truck cools off and he never got it to die on him. Thanks for the reply

ah... the good old gm ground problem. CHECK ALL GROUND WIRES!
battery, frame, engine, cab, ect. gm is known for bad grounds on them. my 02 has a bad ground from engine to cab, headlights would randomly dim.

my neighbors 06 gmc has same issue as yours. brake light stays on, parking brake light and engine lamp also. his was a ground wire from frame to cab.
