4700 international speed limiter

I just bought a 2000 International 4700. It is an auto w/ a dt 360. It was a Ryder rental truck and has a speed limiter at about 65 Mph. I am wondering if there is a way to adjust that.
Thxs in advance.

Most of the time they gear them down so it hits the engine's governor. I'd bet it has some pretty steep gears in it, like 4.44, 4.78, or close to it. According to my info, they quit making the DT360 in 93. You can adjust fuel and rpm for free on a DT360, but not if it's a 2000 model, then it would be a T444E, DT466E, or DT530E.

i wonder the truck you're refering to has a vt360 engine, also reffered to as the 6.0L in ford trucks. seems like international starting using those about the same time ford did. any chance it might be a little newer than a 2000? seems like they usually have the vin and model year on the driver's side door pillar. the speed is probably limited by either the engine ecm or the trans ecm. they might be able to adjust the computer parameters for you at an international dealership.

You are right it is not a DT360 it is a T444E. So would that be adjusted at a dealership?

if your speed isn't being limited simply by your gearing, the best chance would be to go through a dealership.
