8.2L detroit turbo Diesel

Hey I was wondering if anyone out there could tell me how to wire my tach. I have two wires coming out of the bell housing that someone told me were the tachometer sensors or what not, then i have four wires on the tach. Red, black, green, and white. I got the red and black down but now i dont know which wires to connect to the engine. i tried connecting the white and green to the wires on the fly wheel both ways and neither way worked so i was wondering if anyone could tell me what im doing wrong. Thanks

Look at the dash board for the tach brand. Look online for that tach and see if they have a diagram. I am truly sorry you have a 'hate 2' engine. Don't even ask what they are worth.

Yeah its in a mud truck so everything is different. The engine and tranny are from a school bus, the cab is from a 1953 GMC tractor, And the frame and axles are from a 1953 GMC military truck, so yeah. But Thanks Ill try looking up the brand.
