Depending on how heavy you're planning on going. For best all around performance, reliability(except the 04-06 with EGR), and heavy hauling, the DT466. For good performance, a little better mpg than the 466, reliability(unless it's a 98-03), and hauling under 20k pounds, the Cummins B 5.9. The T444E(powerstroke) falls in last place.
