Re: Diesel Fuel Prices

The military use has nothing to do with it, that fuel is purchased seprately, and usually from overseas vendors. Also, the US military does not use diesel, all land based vehicles use JP-8,the Navy uses JP-5, the Army only uses one fuel to allow for easier logistics. If they are running a F350 truck, they put JP-8 in it. There may be a few civilian vehicles locally purchased with small diesels and they may purchase diesel locally for those. But we do not ship diesel to the Gulf.

While yes Jp-8 is close to diesel, it still isnt the reason.

It is purely the oil companies ripping us off.

bobbywalter says:

we are doing something militarily that requires a little bit more diesel then the military was usuing back in 2000.

of course with 50 doolar a barrel crude....2 bux is where its at.

thats bull****.

and they only do it because they can.

[/ QUOTE ]

And it's because of that military action it should be only $5.00 a barrel for crude!

Re: Diesel Fuel Prices

Paid $2.68 yesterday in Colville, Wash. One station in Colville had diesel "premiem" listed at $2.79. Washington State seems about the highest prices in the lower 48??

Re: Diesel Fuel Prices

f250power have you been by the Diamond Shamrock at 544 & Los Rios? It was $1.89 a couple days ago but may have changed might be worth checking out if you need to top off/fillup.
