Differences in fuel

In late July I was in Laramie, Wyoming, and decided to top up one of my tanks that was nearing empty. I went to a small station displaying faded Frontier signs. Frontier was bought out by Shamrock in Colorado several years ago but may still exist in Wyoming. I noticed the fuel did not foam as much as the fuel I usually get and filling my tank was easier. I started home and noticed the fuel gauge wasn't dropping as fast as usual. I can usually predict my mileage pretty closely by gauge drop rate. The whole tank continued to look good for mileage. When I switched to my previously full from Colorado tank the gauge drop rate went right back to normal. Yesterday I filled both my tanks at that station in Laramie and the gauge drop rate is looking much lower than normal again. I will keep watch and do a calculated mileage on the two tanks on my next fill, but things are looking good so far. Not bad since I paid $4.25 /gal in Laramie and the best price at home today is $4.57. That combined with 2 to 3 miles per gallon better makes going a few miles out of my way worthwhile. One thing I noticed at the station was the lack of ULSD stickers on the pump. Am I seeing the difference between LSD and ULSD?
