I was wondering if anyone had any experience with turbo boots or exhaust manifold insulation. I've heard they are supposed to increase performance and reduce turbo lag and all this other stuff. I saw a blurb in a magazine for a particular type of exhaust coating that resulted in a 10% increase in fuel economy as per a third party testing. I am thinking of getting some for some of the tractors on our farm that we work especially hard. I priced some out at a local turbo shop and for this L10 Cummins we have in one of our tractors it would be about $100. With fuel costs being what they are it would not take long to offset that cost with even a slight increase in fuel economy. Thanks much.
